Astro Boy was always a fun character of my childhood.

 

When I had my chance to do a cool mural in South Brooklyn, I wanted to do something that would be monumental for the community.

 

In those times, I was doing my "Duality" series. This series consisted of me taking a subject and cutting it in up between black and white and a colorful version.

To have fun with this wall, I painted Astro Boy flying through a border and out of the mundane black and white frame and into a colorful world.

The message there was to break out of anything that confines you. This mural was one of my favorite pieces- especially because of the positive message I can share with my community.
